Growing up in New Zealand, Kate McArthur had been surrounded by sports from a very early age. She competed in many sports such as equestrian, skiing, white water kayaking and rock-climbing and eventually trained as a mountaineering guide prior to her studies. She is member of Sports Medicine of Australia.
Kate has always been interested in footwear, writing and presenting a footwear training video on fitting and tips on mountaineering boots, travel shoes and rock-climbing shoes for her staff at the Great Outdoors Centre in NZ, this then lead to a career in podiatry. While studying, Kate worked in 2 companies - Smiths Sport Shoes and Shoe Science in New Zealand that focused on video gait analysis. Kate has a great rapport with many different brands, now enjoying an excellent working relationship with many of the brands and stores here in Australia today.

Kate moved to Sydney and within the last four years has become the face of Podiatry for Rebel Sports – Facilitating their footwear training modules for all footwear staff. Kate’s strong background in sports and being a shoe specialist have exposed her to priceless education, while staying true to her beliefs of being a great general podiatrist who also isn’t afraid to treat the 'tough feet issues' when the need is called for.
