Kate McArthur is a Sydney-based podiatrist, footwear consultant, and biomechanics specialist who helps athletes achieve faster recoverie rates and lower injury risk through evidence-based care. Her athletic background spans equestrian, skiing, whitewater kayaking, and rock climbing, and she trained as a mountaineering guide before pursuing studies in podiatry. Early in her career, Kate consulted with NZ Triathlon Organisation, Smiths Sport Shoes, and footwear such as Asics, Brooks, and New Balance, gaining deep industry insight into footwear design and performance.
For the past 17yrs in Australia, Kate’s practice at City Feet Clinic emphasizes meticulous sterilization and standardized treatment protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Her team follows a rigorous system so every appointment delivers reliable results. Kate is passionate about integrating the latest sport-specific biomechanical research into clinical practice, particularly BMX (Biomechanics) insights, which inform faster, safer interventions for high-performance athletes across sports such as football, rugby, and running. She tracks developments in BMX research from Canada, the USA, and Europe and translates these findings into practical treatment plans that minimize downtime and maximize performance.
Beyond the clinic, Kate is a regular contributor to major outlets including the Sydney Morning Herald, Choice, Daily Mail, Mamamia, Cosmopolitan, and Women’s Weekly. She has appeared on Channel 7’s Sunrise to discuss foot health topics and has presented footwear tips for Mr Minit Shoe Repairs seminars. Her collaborations with Asics Australia and other brands reflect her ongoing commitment to advancing sport through informed footwear and biomechanics.
Erin graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2006 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) and later earned a Master of Health Practice (2021).
Fun Fact – She and Kate trained together at AUT. They met on the first day of University, training together at Podiatry School, they lived, trained, and worked together. It took 20 years to come back together.
Known for her dedicated and compassionate care, she specialises in treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.
Erin’s area of expertise includes: General foot and nail Care as well as Keryflex, Treatment of Ingrown Toenails, and Shockwave Therapy. Additionally, she offers specialised techniques such as Dry Needling, Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT), and Prolotherapy to enhance patient outcomes.
Outside of the clinic, Erin is a proud mother of three beautiful girls and enjoys travelling.

She holds AHPRA registration and is an active member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA).
